OUR STAFF

OUR MISSION

Executive Director

Della's passion for serving the elderly began in 2008 when she worked as the Director of Patient Intake at a local home health agency.  She realized quickly that so many senior adults were truly alone.  For the last ten years, her work has been dedicated to serving that great generation.

Della brings to Enrich Seniors many years of experience managing client service programs.  She has had great success developing programs that address the needs of senior adults.  Her experience is invaluable to Enrich Seniors.

In August 2015 Della's husband Taylor Ryberg tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident.  Taylor's servant heart is the inspiration behind Enrich Seniors.  Together they have two children, Cody and Macy, and two grandchildren.

Cody, 32, is the owner of Ryberg Plumbing in Waco, and Macy, 24, is completing her undergraduate at University of North Texas and will enter graduate school in Fall 2018 at Southern Methodist University in Dallas

In 2018 Della married Eric Conner who shares her passion for the elderly and is very involved in supporting the mission of Enrich Seniors.  Together they reside in west Waco.

Della Ryberg-Conner has always had a heart for the elderly. Her career exposed her to this seriously underserved population and she became aware of the day to day struggle of the elderly who were alone, without family, friends, and financial support.  She was saddened by the stories of those who had been abandoned by family, or had outlived their spouse and were now in their elder years and very much alone. Many of the elderly adults were without children and siblings to take care of them. As she worked with others to meet the needs of the isolated and lonely, she realized there was so much more that could be done. Della decided it was time to take the next step and do something about it.

God used Della’s late husband to bring a dream of serving on a much greater level to a reality. On August 29th, 2015 Taylor Ryberg, 49 years old, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. After some time and some very serious life adjustments, she reflected on the impact he had on her passion for serving the elderly. Over the years he had  delivered groceries to those in need, taking care of household repairs that they were no longer able to do themselves, and even taking some to doctor appointments.  He had an endless supply of compassion for the elderly. It was something that poured freely from his heart. But, since his death Della has been confronted with another reality… “What will I do to honor him and carry on his spirit of serving?” It quickly became clear to her that she had been given the opportunity to create a ministry in his honor and memory.

On April 1, 2016, Enrich Seniors opened its doors with one single purpose…ENRICH the lives of this Great Generation.

Client Service Coordinator

Bonnie and her husband moved to Waco to be near family from the DFW area where she recently retired from American Airlines. One of her responsibilities at AA was assisting family members of deceased employees.  This is where she gained empathy for elderly people, especially those struggling through life alone.

Bonnie knows joining Enrich Seniors was a divine appointment for her and feels so blessed to be here.  Her experience in office administration and customer service (including several years with non-profit Christian Schools) supports office organization and brings a friendly voice to those who call or visit Enrich Seniors.

Bonnie and her husband,

Randy, live in central Waco and are enjoying making this great city their home. They attend Harris Creek Baptist Church where their son-in-law, Drew, is Worship and Care Pastor.

They have two children, Paige (married to Drew), and son, Chase, and his wife, Kourtney, who live in Nashville where he is attending law school.  She and Randy love to travel, but spending time with family is their favorite activity…especially hanging out with their grandsons, ages 4 and 2, here in Waco!
